Sobco International participated in the Design Trade Expo held by ASID, American
Society of Interior Designers, Los Angeles Chapter on September 15, 2005. This
one-day event was held in Los Angeles Mart building in Down Town Los Angeles.
The event was well attended by roughly 60 firms who work with and sell goods and
provide services to design community.
Sobco exhibited its t exclusive types of rugs and Kilims (flat weaves with no pile).
Many designers who work on different residential and commercial projects in the
greater Los Angeles area, liked the nature/user friendly rugs presented by SOBCO
International. Design of the rugs and kilims had a variety of choices from classic
(traditional) to transitional and contemporary. Exclusive CD which showed the
process of rug and kilim making from preparing the wool from the back of the sheep,
to spinning, dyeing, designing, weaving, washing, and exporting these items was
distributed free of charge to the visitors. This event was for trade only and the show
was not open to the public.
